DepicT! Planning

Idea

There's a crime scene investigation of a teenage murder. Turns out that the 'killer' is the teenagers best friend and murders him because he wouldn't let him use his new Xbox game, which brings a genre of comedy.

Synopsis

Beginning: The start of the 90 second film is going to consist of the first shot being a crane movement(1) of the body on the floor so that the audience are familiar with the teenager that has been murdered. After this there will be a birds eye view (2) of the investigation crew looking over the body which is then followed by close up shots(5) of different clues and hints on the body, which will be; blood coming out of his mouth, an Xbox controller in one of his hands and the Xbox game in another. Then there will be a series of close up shots (8) of a file document of different details such as the murder information, the age, the name etc..

Middle: The middle of the film is going to be a flashback of how the murder happened. This will contain an establishing shot (9) at the beginning of the two teenagers sitting. Then a shot reverse shot(10) of the murderer asking to borrow the new Xbox game and the response/reaction.

Ending: The best friend gets extremely angry when he says no which is seen in a close up shot (11) so the audience can see the characters facial expressions which is followed by a low angle shot(12) of the murderer stood still, looking at the teenager. They end up fighting which is seen in a wide shot (13). The best friend 'accidentally' kills his best friend by strangling his best friend which is seen in a point of view shot (14) of the murderer seeing the best friend on the floor. The end scene is a shot of the best friend in a hospital for psychopaths (in reality in a room, with the murderer sitting on a chair staring into the camera), which starts as a long shot and zooms into the characters face. (16)
